How often should I get a massage?
The answer here depends on your reasons for receiving the massage. If you are coming for relief from back pain, tight muscles, or significant levels of stress, that requires more attention; weekly sessions may be necessary for relief and healing. For general stress reduction it is recommended that you have regular sessions ranging from once a week to once a month. If you have high stress levels in your work or personal life, massage once a week is usually the norm. Some clients come more often just because they enjoy it. People who want to feel a significant difference in their body should schedule two or three massages every week for about three weeks then you will begin to feel the full impact of the treatments. As with any therapy, whether it be massage therapy, chiropractic care, or physical therapy, regular sessions are necessary to acquire the most benefits and to make those benefits last longer.
